From the mists of Time, where History and Legend dance a dance of wonder and joy, comes a giant of an Irish tale. See how Irish giant Finn McCool challenged and saw off the Scottish monster Benandonner, and see exactly how the Giant’s Causeway came to be one of the wonders of the natural world. The Ruby Reds Band began in Atlanta in February of 1966 in our own nightclub, Ruby Red’s Warehouse, on Ellis Street in downtown Atlanta. The club moved to (and was the first to open in) Underground Atlanta in 1969 and the band quickly got busy – playing regularly for the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Falcons, the Atlanta Hawks and nearly every Corporation in the Southeast over our 50+ year history. Ruby Reds continues to be busy and in demand for political events, corporate galas, private soirees and public appearances. In 2022 we were honored to play for the 90th birthday celebration of Ambassador Andrew Young and the 100th Birthday of WSB Radio.

Tray Dahl & The Jugtime Ragband is not jug band, ragtime, or dixieland. It is an energetic amalgamation of all the popular styles of the 1920’s/30’s – jazz, a little blues, a bit of swing, a pinch old time gospel, and even classic showtunes – all immersed in an early 20th century New Orleans sound. We get people’s feet stomping in a roaring twenties kind of way. Our sound has been described by many as “speakeasy” or “prohibition era” music. Our songs match the early New Orleans jazz/blues instrumentation combo of tenor banjo and trumpet with upbeat dixieland and swing tempos underlying a heavy dose of powerful 1920’s inspired vocals stylistically akin to Bessie Smith, Clara Smith, and Louis Armstrong.
