Violence Prevention Teacher Workshops
All of us who care about public education dream of a time when we will have safe schools that are free of tension, discord, and violence. We envision schools where administrators, teachers, students and parents can join in mutual trust to achieve the highest goals of education. Unfortunately, in these difficult times, those dreams are rarely realized. For many teachers, the dream is often shattered by mistrust and hostility, leaving them with a profound sense of frustration and powerlessness. Teachers are unable to reach their students; students are failing to reach their potential. The overall objective of this Program to offer teachers techniques and innovative approaches that will help deal directly with these underlying problems.
