I Ought to Be in Pictures is a play by Neil Simon about a struggling screenwriter named Herb Tucker who is surprised by the arrival of his estranged young adult daughter, Libby, from Brooklyn. Libby comes to Hollywood seeking his help to break into the movie business, forcing Herb to confront his past and his on-again, off-again relationship with his girlfriend, Steffy. The play explores themes of family, forgiveness, and the complexities of relationships, with a mix of humor and poignant moments.
